Nathan Penny

Nathan's bold predictions and his ability to call it as he sees it sets him apart from other New Zealand agri economists. Case in point was his controversial, but ultimately successful $6.00/kg MS 2016/17 milk price forecast. Nathan hails from the Kapiti Coast and cut his economics teeth at the New Zealand Treasury. He graduated from Massey University with a Master of Applied Economics. Nathan's expertise lies in commodity markets, trade economics and economic forecasting. He's also your go to for all things dairy. Outside of work, Nathan is a proud Hurricanes and Wellington Phoenix fan, although being based in Auckland, he now has divided loyalties since Beauden Barrett joined the Blues.
