Darren Gibbs

Darren has recently joined Westpac’s economics team on contract. Previously, following a decade as Chief Economist for Deutsche Bank New Zealand – writing on both the local and global economy and markets – he went on to provide contract research for both Deutsche Bank and Daiwa Capital Markets Europe. After graduating with an M.Com (Econ 1st Class) in 1989, he began his career at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. He has also worked for the UK Treasury in London.
